Again and again, what America wants, Congress doesn’t do — because the citizens who fund elections are represented, and the rest of us are not. Every issue — from climate change to gun safety, from Wall Street reform to defense spending — is blocked by this fundamental problem: Congress does not represent the people. The Plan Pass the Citizen Equality Act of 2017 The Citizen Equality Act of 2017 is a package of reforms that would allow Congress to listen to voters instead of a few funders. It changes the way we fund campaigns, ends gerrymandering, and protects the right of all citizens to vote.
